...and more good news

Today me and Bryan met with the DJ, and officially booked him with our deposit. Yesterday, we got finalized our photographer. (Who is AMAZING. I can't believe it.)

We also booked our honeymoon, at the Villa Marco Polo Inn in Victoria for 4 nights.

I am so happy with squish I can barely contain myself... Everything else is trucking along, only 5 more months to wait...
...is it strange to be so happy?!?!

After much squishy shopping time with my momma, we have come up with the most phenomenal centerpieces for the wedding ever-- and they should come out to just about $3 a piece. Booyah. I'd post pics, but they're living at the parents house and I forgot... soon hopefully :) I'm so proud!!

Anyways, I miss all of you, I've been secretly stalking everyone here on LJ and am feeling pretty guilty about it. Lovely posts everyone :)

dreaming...

Man. After much talk with many of my pregnant co-workers, I've decided that I'm officially in 'nesting' mode. I want to buy a house. I want to settle down, decorate, and paint. I'm ready for next year, for things to pick up, and to stop paying rent.

http://www.realtor.com/realestate/tacoma-wa-98409-1102171789/
...I want this house real bad.

So, after living here at Thea's Landing for four months, I was starting to think that no one actually lives here; it's really just a place where crazy rich folk keep their addresses while they travel. Seriously. I've only run into someone on my side of the floor once; and they left. Only after a very alarming and freezy firedrill did I find out that not only did I have neighbors, but they are adorable. I'm pretty sure I love them both.

"Excuse me, but do you sneeze five times in a row each morning?"
"Why yes, I do."
"That's it, we should be friends."

....I'm having a good night :)

Creative SWEET.

Today turned out to be pretty surprisingly awesome. I was told a few weeks ago that some reps from Adobe were going to be coming down from Seattle to give a presentation on CS4. What this actually meant was the engineers and product developers came down (which included a very awesome Swedish gentleman) and inquired about our company, and asked us what we wanted out of CS5. Basically, we got to sit down with the engineers of Adobe and talk about the 'magic' that we would like to happen (lord knows how they program that shit!)

Alright, so I'm a nerd. But I left my meeting today feeling more like a dork than I have in a long time ;)
Oh yeah. And me and my parents went to get hour massages last night-- I'm still feeling a bit like a puddle...

Too eventful to comprehend...

Just thought I'd let everyone know--

I'm engaged!!!!

As of last Saturday that is.... and for all of you that I don't speak to normally, here is the story (full of squish, as you probably would have guessed!) It was the happiest day of my life to date, I have no idea how I got so lucky... here's my story!

So, it all started Friday morning. I woke myself up from a dead sleep at 7am, thinking 'oh my god. Bryan's going to propose Saturday". For no reason. Heart beating crazy like, I couldn't sleep. Strangest thing ever. No suspicions of engagements at all by this point. Just to justify my creepiness (if it actually happened) I told Sam and Trevor that I suspected this. They were champs and didn't give it up...

So, Saturday! Bryan and I move into our first apartment :) (Thea's Landing next to the Glass museum in Tacoma)

Moving went relatively smoothly, we worked hard all day, and Bryan's parents finally met mine (holy cow, you think it would have happened after 4 1/2 years...) And after a long day and an apartment full of mess, we get all fancy and Bryan takes me out to dinner at the Melting Pot (which is across the glass bridge from us-- we also met at a fondue party, which is adorable :)... dinner was amazing, we got lobster and matching Lovetinis (amazing.)

The ceiling of the glass bridge, and the rock candy sculptures...

So after walking home in heels, we arrive back at the apartment... I open the door to find the place filled with a hundred tiny candles everywhere... floating in bowls, covering the floors/counters/everything... the place is clean, there are orchids everywhere (my favorite flower) and a bottle of champagne... a cd with our favorite songs is playing... then he pours me a glass of champagne, and gives me a photo album of the past 4 1/2 years of memories... the last page being a ring :) After that is kind of a blur, all I can tell you is that there was much crying, shaking, and exchanging of words... absolutely unreal. The next day I took a picture :)

I still can't believe it :) I can't ever remember being this happy... it's been really hard concentrating on school, whenever I look down I smile and get gloriously distracted... AAAAAAAH I'm so happy!!!!! We're thinking sometime next July or so :) I'll be sure to keep in touch!

Much love,
Sara Wisely

As of right now--
I am OFFICIALLY done with classes. Ever. Evereverever. Seventeen years of school, and it all ended in one very enthusiastic ballet class. I'm not quite sure when this all is going to hit me... however, I do feel as if I am finally ready to be finished with classes...

I am utterly excited/nervous/anxious/scaredshitless/curious/lookingforwardto/notlookingforwardto the week to come.

And seventeen seconds underwater

I'm finding more and more that the hardest thing to do when you're anxious is to sit down and try to concentrate. All this seems to accomplish is a bad case of the shifty-chair, a lot of foot tapping, and a bad case of the craving-sugar-and-foods like no other. Sitting in the gallery today is proving to be quite difficult; I'm trying to concentrate on making my magazine spreads but can only seem to concentrate on the weekend..

I don't want anything, I'm not stressed, hungry or tired. I'm just freaking out.
I believe this is the time I should go home and make some cookies. Yeah, that's it.

Shit. 15 days, 59 minutes until graduation. I've never been so bummed/excited ever. What the hell?

(insert quirky quote here... I'm not feeling very emo today.)

Things have been nice.

Instead of spending time with bunches of people, I've been trying to kidnap one at a time. I'm finding that as the year is nearly over, I haven't gotten much one on one time with many of my close friends. I've had much Julie and Molly time, and have been lucky enough to even get my roomies out one at a time... I'm still trying to figure out whether this is helping or hurting my case for leaving.
What do they say? Better to have lived and loved...

Anywho, I'm feeling quite terrible sending out my graduation announcements, in the way that asking for money was never my thing. "Hey, Sara is graduating. Send her a check." Arg. This is all very new to me still...

...and someone just brought me a plate of cookies for staff appreciation day. Very nice :)

First of all: Bryan's birthday was epic. I'm so excited that everyone showed up and had a good time :) This definitely needs to happen more before the school year is over...

And second: Continued Bryan's b-day yesterday, with a trip to SAM to see the Roman exhibit. It was absolutely incredible. It's ridiculous that you can walk right up to statues of people who were alive with Jesus.... insane to think about. I'm still all giddy from all the glory. And I am officially a dork.

Arg. I really can be quite a dick at times. I'm happy that everybody sticks with me...
...thanks.

Sweet Jesus, I am having a hard time doing anything whatsoever, due to the fact that I am overwhelmingly happy. AAAAAAAAAAHH!
Went in to sign all of the paperwork with PNG today, and have decided that this is the absolute most perfect place for me. They're even treating me financially pretty darn well, which means I can officially afford to move out. Hooray! (Even though I will miss my family, they have been so good to me!) It's going to be so strange having a real paycheck for once... and paying real bills... oooh man I'm so excited...

I can't focus on anything. I need to go play in bubbles or something.

ALSO: My new macbook pro is in the mail. SWEEEEEET.....
